Laguna Hills

Laguna Hills is a southern Orange County city incorporated in 1991. It was developed from a portion of Rancho Niguel, one of the Mexican land grants that were developed during California’s rancho period in the 1800s.

Expanses of land from the north and the west were annexed to expand the original Laguna Hills territory in 1996 and 2000, respectively. The city today covers an area of 6.6 square miles and is home to approximately 31,500 residents.

The city takes its name from nearby Laguna Canyon and historicLaguna Beach, where beachfront homes for sale abound. It is adjacent to Laguna Woods and Laguna Niguel, CA.

Laguna Hills is located just south of the “El Toro Y,” where the Interstate 5, Interstate 405, Santa Ana Freeway, and San Diego Freeway converge. Easy access to these major thoroughfares makes it easy for Laguna Hills residents to travel to central Orange County cities like Anaheim, CA and southern cities like San Juan Capistrano, CA.
